About Us

Powerlite performance rotating electrics for classic, competition and kit cars are manufactured to the highest engineering standards by Eurolec Components located in the heart of the West Midlands, the traditional home of the motor industry. Eurolec's manufacturing base has the capacity to build over 500 units per week. It may not be pretty here – but we know a thing or two about making things!

Eurolec Components are a family run, independent business with over 30 year's experience in the production of automotive electrics and are a front line supplier of component part and units to many large rebuilders in the European market.

Eurolec also manufacture starter motors and alternators for standard vehicles to the highest OE standards. These products are distributed throughout Europe.

With an unrivalled pedigree, sound reputation and excellent customer support, Eurolec offers a unique service to the Automotive Market.

Our Key People:

Michael Hadley

MICHAEL HADLEY – Joint Managing Director
Michael joined the family company straight from college, and has now been with the company for over 20 years. He has worked in every area of the business, from old core sorting to van sales, and has a wide knowledge of both auto electrical parts and vehicle fitments.

Michael's main role as MD is to oversee the sales and marketing of all Eurolec product lines, including the Powerlite range of rotating electrics. Along with Jason, he was instrumental in setting up the Powerlite operation, creating both the brand name and logo as well as the initial catalogue and range of parts.

WILLIAM HADLEY – Joint Managing Director
William has been with Eurolec for more than 21 years, after having served his apprenticeship as an Auto Electrician. He started his career at Eurolec as a bench auto electrician, and since that time has experienced every job in the production process.

William is vastly experienced in the “old core” side of the business (trading in used starters and alternators), and takes regular trips abroad to source core units both for re-sale and for use on the Eurolec production line.

Jason Smith

JASON SMITH – Design & Production
Jason is the technical brain behind the Powerlite operation. Jason has designed and tested every Powerlite unit in our range. He was also responsible for the innovative design of the “Dynalite” - our high performance dynamo replacement.

Jason has been involved in car electrics throughout his working career. After training as a bench auto electrician, he progressed to full vehicle wiring systems, diagnostics and breakdowns. He has been at Eurolec for over 10 years where, along with controlling the Powerlite operation, he is also our plant manager and has responsibility for a 30 strong workforce.

Julian Adams

JULIAN ADAMS – Sales
Julian has been with the company for 10 years and is responsible for all aspects of parts sales and despatch. Julian has an incredible, encyclopaedic knowledge of auto electrical parts and vehicle fitments, having been involved in all areas of the Eurolec re-manufacturing operation.

Customer service is one of Julian's main strengths, and he his held in very high esteem by both his colleagues and customers. His willingness to help customers and provide a solution to their problems has been one of the main reasons behind Eurolec's success over the last 10 years.
